There comes a moment when a line is crossed, and there’s no return. There’s no room for pleading or tears or repentance. It’s over. Done. Finito.
It is alleged that former Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto spoke of crossing the line regarding the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor by forces of Imperial Japan, saying, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.” Japan’s line-crossing attack awakened a sleeping giant, resulting in two horrific fiery strikes – the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War 2 – and the world has lived with the consequences of Japan’s 1941 decision ever since.
But the consequences delivered by people are humanity’s most minor problem. What happens when humankind crosses the line with God and He drops the hammer?
God condemned everyone to suffer death when humanity, Adam and Eve, crossed the line (Genesis 2:17; 3:6, 19. 23-24). God wiped out all but eight humans when spiritual beings crossed the line with humanity (Genesis 6:1-8, 7:11-23). And God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah when they crossed the line (Genesis 19).
Crossing the line has consequences. My friend and I often joke, “Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.”
That brings us to the terrible side of using technology to Conquer and Dominate the world. Again, a tool is only as moral, amoral, or immoral as the person wielding it. Most of the time, tools wielded immorally have bitter but limited consequences. But what happens when a tool has the power to affect all human beings with horrifying and unimaginable consequences, even humanity’s extinction?
I’m not exaggerating. Not at all. As you’ll see, God’s wonderful gift of technology, the tool that amplifies our efforts to Subdue and Rule God’s creation, is presently being shaped in evil ways that could tear humanity from God’s grasp (which seems to be the intention) and invites our King’s wrath if we cross His line. Don’t think He won’t act. When we step over God’s lines of holiness and morality or any other line that He has set to distinguish us from Him, God will step in to judge the guilty. That’s God’s irrefutable truth from His word.
So, why do we think we can cross God’s line with impunity? Because we’re convinced that we’re like God. Therefore, we feel we have the right to act like Him and mess with anything of His we desire, whether His will or ways. What’s astounding is that we really can infringe on God’s domain in some ways. But just because we can doesn’t mean we should.
God has given us technology to help us, yet our false-god drive to Conquer and Dominate has taken technology and perched us on the edge of the abyss. If we cross the line (and I believe we already have), we will fall into hell.
Conquer and Dominate Technology: “You Shall Be Like God.”
What’s technology’s purpose when used to Conquer and Dominate? To control other people.
Technology’s power has enabled humans to change and manipulate God’s world with rapidly diminishing limits. In the not-too-distant past, molecular structures and atoms were scientifically proven to exist but never seen. With today’s technology, researchers can produce pictures of atoms (scientificamerican.com). Recently, scientists have even detected subatomic particles that make up the protons and neutrons of atoms (news.mit.edu).
Looking in the other direction, the new James Webb Space Telescope recently scanned a section of space “approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length by someone on the ground – and (revealed) thousands of galaxies in a tiny sliver of (the) vast universe,” billions of lightyears away (nasa.gov). If thousands of galaxies were revealed in a minute scan, how many bazillion galaxies are there across God’s gigantic universe? It astounds the imagination!
As with all the other domains of human life, our urge to Conquer and Dominate drives us to control everything. While technology as a tool to Subdue and Rule has revealed the building blocks of matter and unveiled cosmic structures, technology as a tool to Conquer and Dominate will pry open hell’s lid.
Information – Controlling Access and Content
We need information technology to process and share vast amounts of data and knowledge. The moral foundation for “What kind of information and how is it shared” determines whether information technology is a boon or a bane to humanity.
Information (data and knowledge) can be either godly (moral per God), neutral, or evil (immoral per God). Subdue and rule information benefits humanity and our efforts to shape and maintain the world. Conquer and Dominate information harms humanity and is used by bad actors to control others. As Noam Chomsky said, “He who controls the media controls the minds of the public.” That applies to controlling the content and flow of information.
As for content, most information is morally neutral, such as how to perform surgical knee replacements, gardening best practices, and organizational operations. Relative to our Subdue and Rule Mandate, even neutral information is godly because it still advances our God-given work on the planet without crossing God’s moral line. Information is godly when explicitly used for God’s glory and His plans, such as feeding the hungry and providing safe drinking water in arid places.
Where information runs afoul is when that information exposes people to ungodly content like pornography or teaches and promotes immoral practices. Using information to Conquer and Dominate is especially vile when used to enslave and exploit people, such as in human trafficking.
As for flow, information used to Subdue and Rule streams freely. The goal is to make proper information as accessible to anyone as possible. When Conquer and Dominate infuses information technology, those who seek control inhibit what information is released and how, much like kinking a hose or redirecting the water’s spray toward favored plants and away from unfavored ones. Such cancelation and control measures stunt anyone’s ability to make fully informed decisions.
Take the COVID pandemic, for example. During the height of the pandemic, anecdotal and clinical evidence emerged regarding the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine (HCL) and Ivermectin against the COVID-19 virus. A colossal outcry against these two treatments immediately rang out from the information gatekeepers. Our government, Big Pharma, and Big Medicine favored specific treatments (remdesivir, ventilators, and mRNA injections), even though HCL and Ivermectin showed great promise and initial proof of effectiveness. The information gatekeepers publicly smeared the two drugs as worthless (HCL) and as a “horse dewormer” (Ivermectin). The complicit news and social media squelched information about both. Lo and behold, now that the pandemic has ended, HCL and Ivermectin are approved for use for COVID-19 by the same gatekeepers who previously restricted the two drugs (fda.gov, theepochtimes.com).
Why the change? Could it be that more money and fear-inspired control would be gained during the COVID pandemic by pushing a specific medical approach? Was there more benefit to be realized by the controllers with increased COVID-related sicknesses and deaths? Was it more beneficial to the controllers to prolong the pandemic as long as possible during a presidential campaign? Now, almost three years after the pharmacological smear campaign, we must ask, “How many lives could have been saved? How many people needlessly died because Conquer and Dominate special interests valued control, money, and political agendas over life?” We should have been Subduing and Ruling COVID rather than Conquering and Dominating people. The guilty will ultimately answer to God.
But, of course, the Conquer and Dominate controllers did it all for our good. Under the false claim that “we can’t handle the truth,” the gatekeepers manipulated information technology to cut off and redirect the flow of information, releasing just enough of the scary kind to keep us intimidated, cowed, and submissive.
Recently, Google has agreed to run interference for the Conquer and Dominate World Health Organization that’s bent on world dominion. “YouTube [owned by Google, author] has updated its COVID-19 misinformation policy to now cover all medical misinformation, ensuring that there is complete unanimity of messaging on the platform. We will all bow down to the WHO” (hotair.com). That’s right. Whether the information is right or wrong, it is deemed accurate only if it comes from the WHO. It’s still wrong even if truthful information contradicts the WHO’s false information. The standard is the agenda, not objective truth. How is that for Conquer and Dominate?
Conquer and Dominate works to limit and direct the flow of information for its benefit or to establish dominance or control over others, and it does so by controlling information technology. Full access to information is crucial. Of course, readily accessible knowledge must have reasonable boundaries about personal information, military and national secrets, corporate proprietary information, etc. But in general, information that benefits everyone should be available to those seeking it.
Digital Imaging and AI – Controlling Images and Identities
Technological advances in digital imaging, especially with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), are both awe-inspiring and terrifying. We’ve already looked at the marvels of holographic imaging used with ABBA Voyage in London, England. But what happens when evil people weaponize digital imaging against others to Conquer and Dominate them?
Most of us know about photoshopping, which uses programs like Adobe’s PhotoShop to manipulate pictures through digital technology. Most efforts result in skilled artwork and are used innocently, like digitally erasing the rude photo-bomber at the beach. However, like all other tools used for evil, photoshopping quickly sank into the moral abyss, with bad actors fixing celebrity faces onto nude bodies to create celebrity pornography.
Digitally altering pictures to take control of another person’s image and recreate the victim in the perp’s image is pure Conquer and Dominate. To be blunt, such rotten people are playing God digitally. Most of the attempts are clumsy, easy-to-see cut-n-paste jobs. However, some recent examples can fool even the most astute observers, resulting in the victim’s public embarrassment and damaged reputation.
What naturally followed picture photoshopping was deepfakes, that is, photoshopping videos. Deepfakes are more insidious because the victim’s image, voice, and actions are used. Two of the most astounding deepfake examples I’ve seen are comedian Bill Hader imitating Arnold Schwarzenegger and Al Pacino. Search YouTube.com with “Bill Hader deepfake Pacino Schwarzenegger” and be amazed! As Bill imitates Arnold and Al, the deepfake artist transforms Bill’s face into the respective actor’s face. The result is stunning and hilariously entertaining (at least to me).
But what if the deepfake artist does the same thing to victimize another person? Suddenly, a political figure appears online in what seems to be a “compromising position,” if you know what I mean, and the video is passed off as authentic. It would destroy the politician’s life before they could refute it or prove it faked. As the old maxim goes, “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” Today, a lie can circle the globe at light speed while the truth is still asleep. That politician would lose their reputation, marriage, and career in seconds. Even if the video was debunked, the internet is forever. The person’s humiliation based on a construct would continue indefinitely, and the artist would have poisoned their victim’s image in society’s minds.
With deepfakes, the unscrupulous person could make public figures say or do anything. How easy is it to identify a deepfake as fake? Watch the Bill Hader examples and see how difficult it is now and how fast digital imaging technology is advancing. Think of the political hit jobs, the character assassinations, and the public humiliations that will inevitably come with better deepfakes. Why just claim there’s a video of a political opponent in a compromising position when you can create one? Multitudes of gullible people will believe anything, especially if it’s what they want to see. Deepfakes will soon be used as an “October Surprise” strategy to sway an election. Don’t think unprincipled organizations aren’t already working on this for the next U.S. Presidential election.
Manipulating pictures and videos with digital technology is just the start. The next step is to make 3-D images via holograms nearly indistinguishable from reality. As you’ve hopefully seen with the ABBA Voyage video, digital technology has far surpassed Princess Leia’s “Help me, Obie Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope” grainy hologram from Star Wars IV – A New Hope.
Imagine the nefarious possibilities. By blending these digital manipulation techniques, evil people could create incidents that trigger extreme social outrage, incite riots, justify wars, take down political opponents or any other human target, or stage an alien invasion (Don’t laugh. It’s being talked about.), creating a crisis that shouldn’t go to waste.
And then there’s AI, “the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems” (techtarget.com). Because AI uses immense amounts of computing power for complex tasks (searching and processing information), AI can quickly produce results that were once impossible due to time and resources. Online AI like ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is an “AI-powered language model developed by OpenAI, capable of generating human-like text based on context and past conversations” (chat.openai.com/auth/login). With ChatGPT, you can “generate ideas and brainstorm, have it write customized content for you, find information and date, and even write new songs” (forbes.com). And that’s the problem.
Subdue and Rule AI helps us learn and grow and aids us as we change and manipulate our human environment. Conquer and Dominate AI can be used to put people like scriptwriters and journalists out of work because AI can write scripts and news stories faster than a human writer and with increasing accuracy. In the past, students bought pre-written academic papers online to steal good grades. AI can do it much faster and better while avoiding plagiarism. Ah, Conquer and Dominate was never so easy as now!
While I was listening to a local radio show recently, the host tried an experiment with an AI application. His producer cut and pasted the Declaration of Independence’s Preamble into the app’s text box. The host then read the Preamble for thirty seconds. When the producer hit the “go” button, the AI app continued through the rest of the Preamble, imitating the host’s voice perfectly. AI can also create images of people that do not exist yet look real, AI generated videos of people looking, moving, and sounding like real people. An internet search for “AI generated person picture video” reveals incredibly eerie examples.
Currently, Hollywood is fighting over using an actor’s image via CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) visual effects, like Carrie Fischer’s appearance in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Using an image without permission is stealing, as anyone who has dealt with copyright law will tell you. Conquer and Dominate raises its ugly head when someone steals and controls another’s image for illegitimate and illegal purposes.
In the hands of evil people, AI is an extremely dangerous technology because of how deceptively it can be used. AI erases the line between what’s real and what’s not, making it extremely difficult to discern. Countless lives are already being destroyed through identity theft. By the time (if ever) a person or event is revealed as fake, irreparable damage has been done.
That which represents our very being – our image, voice, actions, and identity – is deeply personal. Subdue and Rule recognizes individual ownership of those inherent parts of ourselves. Conquer and Dominate usurps and uses another’s image or identity for its benefit and to establish dominance or control.
Another question is, “What if AI surpasses human control and assumes control?” After all, a tool is only as moral as the person using it. What happens if AI is released in an autonomous Conquer and Dominate mode? Isn’t that the terrifying premise behind the Terminator movies? I already assume AI is being weaponized for use in future wars. Why do I think that? Because human nature is predictable. Imagine making split-second calculations and decisions far ahead of one’s opponent. It’s irresistible to the Conquer and Dominate military mind.
Without God’s moral boundaries programmed into it, AI will take on the destructive immoral or amoral standards of those who program it. As AI grows in its ability to think faster than human beings with access to nearly all the world’s knowledge, combined with AI’s ability to synthesize it all, humanity will come face to face with its digital god, the fabled technological singularity.
American Preacher and Theologian Jonathan Edwards preached a sermon in 1741, “Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God,” that sparked the tremendous fervor of the First Great Awakening (1720-1760). Edwards stressed, “There is nothing that keeps wicked men, at any one moment, out of hell, but the mere pleasure of God.” True. But an angry God implies He must also be a caring and loving God. But what if humanity finds itself at the mercy of an amoral, indifferent, and practical god that sees no real purpose or need for people yet holds the power of human existence on earth in its digital hands? “Many theorists are speculating that artificial intelligence is approaching a point of technological singularity, a ‘hypothetical future point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization,’ is something we should all be nervous about.” (crisismagazine.com, italics author).
What might human life be like when we hit technological singularity? Will the divide between real and illusion be erased? Will we become unable to distinguish reality from fiction? Will it result in an absolute loss of trust in anything, even God?
Is technological singularity the line that shouldn’t be crossed? Will we create a technological giant that will awaken only to destroy all human life? Just because we can do something doesn’t mean we should. Just because we can cross a line doesn’t mean we should.
I’ve realized that the prophesied threat of deception in the Last Days is not only spiritual and human (2 Timothy 3:13; Revelation 19:20; 1 Timothy 4:1) but will be amplified by technology. I believe our most significant spiritual gift in the Last Days will be Holy Spirit-given discernment, our most excellent skill will be to hear Jesus’ voice clearly and accurately, and our most significant requirement will be a healthy dose of skepticism.
Let’s go deeper. What might happen when a Conquer and Dominate government takes the AI reigns?
Government – Controlling Societal Participation
Imagine if our government saw technology as a way to usurp more control over people and keep them controlled. Well, we don’t have to imagine it. We lived in this scenario during the COVID pandemic.
Healthcare. The world saw what immoral government officials would do if handed power amped up via technology. What was their mantra? “Trust the science,” except science and technology were used to create the COVID virus, stoke fear, manipulate mRNA results, shut down institutions, monitor compliance, and punish the non-compliant.
The powers-that-be were overjoyed by how easy it was. There is no doubt authorities plan to do more in the future because they’re already talking about using the same tactics. The internet is already ablaze with “fear porn” about another pandemic heading our way. Gee, it’s almost like they planned it. For those who follow such developments, it’s no secret that governments worldwide have biolabs weaponizing pathogens right now. As we’ve experienced, creating a plague and covering its source is technologically easy. It’s taken three years to pin the COVID tail on the Chinese donkey (with U.S. government collaboration). Despite the irrefutable genetic proof, everyone who stands to lose still argues against COVID’s origin to deflect blame and accountability.
Government leaders and officials use technology to gain control over every part of life because they recognize the immense power it adds to their efforts. Global governments used technology to amplify a flu-like pandemic into a crisis because if you control a person’s health, you control the person. As Count Rugen says in The Princess Bride, “If you haven’t got your health, you haven’t got anything.”
Economics. Like physical health, if you control a person’s wallet, you control the person. It’s no surprise that governments are using technology for economic control. Banks have worked with gun-control advocates to deny access to banking for gun manufacturers and sellers (foxnews.com). Recently, a noted doctor was debanked for his views on COVID vaccines (mustreadalaska.com). The scary part is that J.P. Morgan closed Dr. Mercola’s account and those of his family and associates. The reasons given for doing so were so vague it was obvious Dr. Mercola was targeted because he didn’t toe the medical, political, or social lines.
With the advent of cryptocurrencies and fiat digital money (i.e., fake), banks and government institutions will gain total control over your economic life. Every purchase will soon be tracked and subject to official approval. Like Dr. Mercola, you could be shut out of the economy instantly. But don’t despair. We’re told this is for our good (wnd.com). The recently proposed WorldCoin (for economic control) linked to WorldID (for tracking and controlling people) has already been launched. FedCoin is being readied for roll-out on a national level via FedNow, a new instant payment infrastructure (frbservices.org). Of course, the Federal Reserve denies that FedCoin is tied to FedNow, but do you really think our government won’t implement a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) to replace the paper dollar when it finally collapses in value as all fiat currencies inevitably do? But hey, who can fault government officials when they’re offered absolute economic control over people? “Do as I say or no buying or selling for you.” Does total Conquer and Dominate over your economic activity sound familiar (wnd.com)?
“But we need all information about all people to prevent criminal activity. If you’re innocent, you have nothing to hide,” is the justification. Although the reason is feigned as altruism, it’s just a mechanism for technologically-enhance economic enslavement wrapped in a cloak of safety and security, neither of which we will have for long once implemented.
Safety and Security. Under the guise of social protection and security, technology has already been used to “enhance” government surveillance. The depth and extent of our government’s snooping as a means to control everyone was exposed by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and accused spy Edward Snowden. Since then, the U.S. Deep State has deployed many technologically advanced tools to watch anyone, even (and especially) sitting Presidents. Think you’re safe from snooping? Not regarding your phone and movements, DNA, facial recognition, behavior, spending and consumer activities, public and social activities, social network usage, car, and mail, all gloriously enabled by technology (criminallegalnews.org).
But no one would ever think about using such intrusiveness for nefarious reasons, right? Only those driven to Conquer and Dominate everyone else. But don’t worry. The government promises to protect our privacy. But then again, as cyberlibertarian political activist and lyricist for the Grateful Dead, John Perry Barlow, pointed out, “Relying on the government to protect your privacy is like asking a peeping tom to install your window blinds.”
Vaccine passports were launched and mandated for people to travel during the COVID pandemic. Not only could governments spy on us, but they could also keep us within their predetermined locale. Do you feel the Conquer and Dominate noose tightening? Remember, Conquer and Dominate government’s goal is to force as many people as possible under increasingly tight and singular control and keep them enslaved, the epitome of which is “Ein Mann über alles, One man over all.”
When a group or person gains this type of control over the populace, there’s an inevitable endpoint. In the 20th century alone, the Nazis wiped out around 12 million people, Stalin wiped out upwards of 20 million, and Mao wiped out about 42.5 million. Given the technological domain’s ability to dominate every aspect of our lives, today’s tyrants could potentially exterminate humanity, which would please the insane climate extremists and the WEF leaders, Klaus Schwab and Hariri Yuval, not to mention Satan, their apparent mentor.
Military – Controlling Nations
Do I really have to point out technology’s contribution to potential global annihilation? Every technological innovation seems to advance our ability to exercise ultimate control – death.
Technology has not only brought forth hypersonic flight engines, but improvements are on the verge of sustained hypersonic flight. Subdue and Rule would celebrate such advances. Let’s face it. Who wants to spend hours in a jet’s middle seat on an international flight when we can reduce flight times by 80% (wsj.com)?
But on military missiles, hypersonic flight technology has shortened our nation’s response time to an attack to six minutes (theconversation.com). Six minutes! Add to that satellite killer technologies, space-based weaponry, AI-guided micro drones for intelligence and battlefield use, and on and on.
Under Conquer and Dominate’s influence, exquisite dream-world technology has become an increasingly deadly means of population control.
After reviewing the entirety of humanity’s history in the movie The Fifth Element, Supreme Being Leeloo and hero Korben Dallas debate whether humanity is worth saving:
(Leeloo) “Everything you create, you use to destroy.”
(Korben Dallas) “Yeah, we call it human nature.”
Ain’t that the Conquer and Dominate truth?
Up to this point, I’ve highlighted technology’s use to control people outwardly. What comes next is truly horrifying, and it’s already happening – controlling people inwardly.
We’re about to cross the line and tread on God’s turf.
